Ronald W. Gibbs

RONALD W. GIBBS has provided financial analysis and strategies to individuals and businesses for over 30 years. His areas of professional experience include investments and employee benefits to include retirement and estate protection.

A retired Air Force Major and decorated Vietnam-era combat pilot (Distinguished Flying Cross), Ron has held appointments as Chief Financial Officer of a national bank and Business Officer of a $10 million Virginia Tech research laboratory. He has been a consultant to the VT Corporate Research Center, served as an Adjunct Instructor in Virginia Tech’s Family Financial Management, and is published in the Analytical Techniques of Family Financial Management – a college textbook. He is a former President of the Estate Planning Council of the New River Valley.

He holds a BA from Virginia Tech; MBA (Investments) from the Terry School of Business, The University of Georgia; and advanced diplomas from The Virginia Banker’s School of Bank Management at The University of Virginia, and The School of Banking of the South at Louisiana State University.

Outside of assisting clients in reaching their financial goals, Ron spends his free time involved with the Blacksburg Sports Club, the Blacksburg Hokie Club, the Blacksburg Country Club where he is the President of the Senior Men’s Golf Association and the Rotary Club of Blacksburg. He and his wife enjoy fishing and AT hiking along with golf.
