403(b) Model Portfolios

The market research conducted by Verity’s Investment Committee in developing the firm’s full-blown global tactical asset allocation strategies is similarly used in the development and implementation of allocation strategies for the 403(b) portfolios. Drawing in part upon years of experience with the allocation of investment options provided by Fidelity and TIAA-CREF, Verity assesses fund options on multiple levels - adjusting allocations according to current valuations, prevailing trends, and the correlation characteristics of the various securities. To target how best to optimize tactical objectives in a more limited fund universe, the Investment Committee looks carefully at the specific content of the various funds to consider the underlying holdings and sector weightings, among other considerations.
Employer Plans Custodied with Fidelity Investments
In the vast majority of employer plans, Fidelity’s uncommonly diverse array of funds covering a very wide range of asset classes and market sectors provides an excellent foundation for the implementation of this type of investment methodology. A broad selection of funds in various asset classes encompassing domestic, foreign, and emerging market equities and a varied selection of bond funds provide opportunities for very effective diversification as well as the ability to target specific areas of potential opportunity.
